Archery Program will begin in April for 4th & 5th Graders. Limited space will be available.  More information will  be provided by Mr. Arman.

 

NASP boasts a perfect safety record with nearly 3,000,000 students participating annually nationwide. This program is only available to the 4th and 5th grade during school hours and the excitement in the student’s eyes was incredible to witness! As this is being written, each grade level has just finished their second week of instruction and shooting. The program will be a wonderful opportunity for our students to be exposed to archery as a lifelong activity. Through their participation the students will be able to address the following state physical education standards in a fun and unique manner!

Standard 1: Demonstrates competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns.

 

* Combines proper balance and weight transfers

 

Standard 2: Applies knowledge of concepts, principles, strategies and tactics related to movement and performance.

 

* Speed, direction & force (applies all components to gain competitive advantages)

 

Standard 3: Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.

Archery club is open to all 5th grade students.  They meet afterschool twice a week for one hour.
